Apostille Facilitator
Do you have a document that you need to use internationally? It is often necessary to have it Apostilled, which means authenticating the origin of the document.
Essentially, an apostille is a certificate issued by a designated authority in a country that is party to the Hague Apostille Convention. This certificate verifies the authenticity of a document's signature, seal, or stamp so that it can be recognized in another member country without the need for further authentication.
Here's how apostille services typically work:
Verification: The document is first notarized by a qualified notary public (if required) to attest that the signatures and seals on the document are genuine.
Apostille Certificate: Once notarized, the document is then submitted to the appropriate authority (often a Secretary of State or equivalent) where it originated. This authority affixes an apostille certificate to the document. The apostille itself is a standardized form with specific information about the document and its authenticity.
International Recognition: With the apostille attached, the document is now recognized as valid for use in any other country that is part of the Hague Apostille Convention. This simplifies the process of verifying the document's authenticity across borders.
Apostille services are commonly required for various types of documents including birth certificates, marriage certificates, adoption papers, educational diplomas, powers of attorney, and corporate documents. They ensure that these documents are legally recognized in countries outside their country of origin, making them essential for international business, legal proceedings, immigration, and personal matters.
My 3 step process:
Step 1: Schedule an appointment for me to come notarize and collect the documents for processing.
Step 2: The notary signature will then be authenticated by the county clerk's office (if required). The documents are then sent to the Secretary of State to be Apostilled. This could take a few days to a few weeks time.
Step 3: Once your documents arrive back, I will deliver them back to you. Additionally upon your request I can ship the documents anywhere in the world.
